The Raven Queens Ascension is based in the universe of Critical role and is a visualisation of the moment the raven queen struck down the god of death and took their place in the pantheon of gods.

This was also a fun test of midjourney Ai to see if it could help my workflow without taking away from my creative freedom.
by the end most of the original render has been edited in some form but it was great to find such a visually striking composition to grow an idea from.
In the end I started the piece with the thumbnail and upscaled version at about 50% opacity each to give my mind more room to breathe.
